Eat and Two Veg
Since we will be heading back to Seattle in July, we are frantically trying to hit all the restaurants on our list before we have to leave. Eat and Two Veg was ticked off today.

Little steamed parcels of deliciousness
Today we lunched at Ping Pong – a restaurant that we have wanted to try for quite some time. It had been recommended to us by a friend, it’s close to the flat and we love their motto (see post title). We were not disappointed with our lunch.

Sagar – Southern Indian Goodness in Hammersmith
KZ was contemplating going to the last ever show at the Hammersmith Palais so we looked into having dinner in that area. We found Sagar – a South Indian Vegetarian restaurant. We headed over fairly early since we didn’t have a booking and we were given the last available two-top in the already [...]

Babylon at The Roof Gardens
After our trip to the Natural History Museum to see the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibit, we went to Babylon at the Roof Gardens for dinner. This Richard Branson-owned restaurant (obvious from the many Virgin Experience brochures lying about the bar area) is on the 7th floor of the “Derry and Toms” building [...]

A week of eating
Last week was rather hectic, with my Birthday and MS colleagues in town, so we ended up eating out most of the week. (Most of you have probably noticed that eating is one of our favourite hobbies.)
S. worked from home on Wednesday and we went out for a quick lunch at Nyonya [...]

Bumpkin – Part 3
They’ve gone and changed the menu. My stomach dropped to my feet when I saw that they removed the pear & stilton salad and the grilled scallops. They did keep the roasted squash salad but I was still befuddled. So I ordered my favourite cocktail – the Strawberry Fields – strawberries and [...]

Le Pain Quotidien
We needed a place for lunch Saturday that was not a pub. We were on our way to a Spanish tapas restuarant when we spotted Le Pain Quotidien, a small, unassuming bakery located on a quiet street in Kensington. You’d easily pass it by if it were not for the sandwich board announcing [...]

Bumpkin
It’s a new year. We’ve been endulging in the holiday spirit. We had not had many meals at home in the last month until this week, when we managed to stay in and cook for four nights. But it’s Friday, so we have to go out, right? But we don’t have a booking anywhere because [...]

Lisboa – Chapito and Resto
So we’ve been spoiled – two days in Lisboa and two very good dinners. There was a place I wanted to try but it was up on the hill near Castelo San Jorge but that was a ways away. We decided that having a drink at the hotel bar might give us some inspiration. Two [...]

Lisboa – Restaurante Baralto
Here’s the gist – have dinner here if you are ever in Lisboa.
We arrived in Lisboa, unpacked, had a beer at the hotel bar and headed out to get oriented and have dinner. We had a couple of names of restaurants in the Barrio Alto area so we wandered in that direction. After a couple [...]
