British 10K London Run
This morning, I ran the British 10K London Run as a fundraising event for Age Concern Kensington & Chelsea. The course wound its way through the capital, passing many of the major tourists sites. The weather was fairly decent, which is much better than what we had during the week. 24,000+ runners [...]

RHS Chelsea Flower Show
Three important observations about the Royal Horticultural Society’s Chelsea Flower Show:
1. It’s big and crowded
2. I was underdressed in a linen sundress because I forgot to put on heels

As warm as California
We have been having marvelous weather – it’s been sunny, clear and in the mid-20s (C, that is). My parents are visiting and they think they never left California. Since the weather has been so grand, I have been walking them everywhere. They have already seen Kensington Gardens, High Street Kensington, the [...]

Shooting Portobello
SP found a fun photography activity for me and KZ to do; it was a photography treasure hunt in the Portobello ‘hood sponsored by Rough Trade Records. We registered for the ‘lite’ online version, mostly because the true Saturday event sold out quickly. THe theme was ‘music’. On Sunday morning we received [...]

The Shins
Mr KZ arrived in town yesterday and, being the music guru that he is, he had us going to The Shins concert at the Forum in Kentish Town. I thought this was quite the feat after flying to London from Seattle via Dallas and only having a short afternoon nap. We sat in [...]
